"Another Poem" (for my bezfriend)
Ever wonder what she does
When no one is around?
When she's locked up in her room
and doesn't make a sound.
Does it run through your head!
That she may need some help?
She can't escape, alone!
From the bottom of this hell.
Don't you ever wonder!
What runs through her head?
When she tries to fall asleep
All alone in her bed.
Don't you realize she's afraid?
To be left all alone?
That's why she does those things
When no one is at home.
When she's alone in her room
She cuts ‘till she sees blood.
Can't you see her arms?,
and the stains on the rug?
When she's alone in her room
She hopelessly cries.
Can't you see the sorrow
Pouring from her eyes?
When she's alone in her room
She begs God to set her free.
Can't you hear it in her voice?
LISTEN TO HER! (silent please…)
The next time you walk out
Please let her know she's not alone
For she might not be alive
by the time you come back home.
